PreTreatment Instructions

No sun exposure or use of tanning products for 4-6 weeks before and during
treatment. If you are tan you will need to postpone your treatment.

Sun protection with high SPF (30 or above) UVA/UVB sunscreen prior, during, and
after treatment.

Avoid aspirin, ibuprofen, or other blood thinning medications to help minimize
possible bruising.

Discontinue use of Retinol or Hydroquinone (if treating face), and sun
sensitive medications such as certain antibiotics, one week prior to treatment.

Contraindications include pregnancy, breast feeding, tan skin, use of
photosensitive medications.
IPL Skin Post-Treatment Instructions

Gentle skin care. Don’t scrub or scratch treated area.

Use mild facial cleanser if face was treated.

Makeup can be applied immediately after treatment.

Apply cool compress or ice for 24 hours if swelling occurs.

Facials can resume 2 weeks following IPL treatment.

Hair removal can resume 2 weeks following IPL treatment.

Interval between follow-up evaluation/treatment is 4-6 weeks.
