Chemical Peels assist in reducing the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles, smooth the texture of the skin, and assist in hydration for firmer skin. Used also for acne prone and active acne. Some chemicals used include gycolic acid, salicylic acid, lactic acid, or the more aggressive TCA (trichloroacetic acid).
Why should I do a chemical peel?

The biggest reason is the need for exfoliation. Photo-aged, hyperpigmented, acneic or dull skin can be characterized by the accumulation of dead cells on the skin's surface, irregular activity of sebaceous glands, and slowed down cellular renewal. Such skin does not regenerate fast enough. Imperfections such as teh signs of aging and various imperfections become more visable.
